New Yorkse horeca prepareert zich op rookverbod

Nu het nog enkele weken te gaan is totdat het zeer bekritiseerde rookverbod in New York van kracht wordt, prepareren vele bareigenaren zich op de situatie. Alom worden gaten in de wet gezocht waarmee het rookverbod kan worden ontdoken.

Ideeën zijn er genoeg: een maandelijkse loterij in een bar waarvan de helft van de opbrengst wordt gebruikt om de boete voor het overtreden van het rookverbod te betalen en de andere helft voor de winnaar, inrichten van een dure geventileerde rookruimte waar geen personeel mag komen of speciaal ingerichte buitenterrassen.
